CÎROC x Pergola Paddington
One of CÎROC’s customers, Pergola Paddington, offered us a chance to brand areas in their space for their new décor theme: Pergola on the Piste. The theme was a ski chalet aesthetic, perfect for the winter months this build would be showcased for.
I oversaw the design and creation of a winter themed photo opportunity, alongside a branded DJ booth.
CLIENT: CÎROC Vodka
AGENCY: Katlist
INVOLVEMENT: Creative direction,
project management
The photo opportunity featured a ski lift, against a wintery mountainous backdrop, fitted with piles of ‘snow’ stocked with CÎROC bottles and a ‘snowy’ CÎROC logo.
As CÎROC is all about celebration, one of their key brand assets is the disco ball. We incorporated this through a sequinned back wall of the DJ Booth, a giant Disco Ball 'moon’ on the background of the photo opportunity, and miniature disco balls incorporated into the ‘snow’.
Our client loved the installation so much, they ensured to have their staff Christmas party at the location to enjoy it for themselves. The venue have also informed us that the photo opportunity is used by most patrons, which is a great success for the brand.
You Don’t Need To Ski To Après
Due to a lack of wintery assets for the CÎROC social channels, we decided to organise a quick-and-easy photoshoot at the venue. An ongoing challenge for running the CÎROC social media channels is lack of available budget, so we needed to turn this around for minimal spend.
The concept for the campaign was "You Don’t Need To Ski To Après”, which is all about celebrating the afterparty. It’s a tongue-in-cheek concept, making the notion of the Après Ski more accessible to those unable to go on a skiing holiday.
My creative vision for the campaign was to evoke nostalgia by treating the images as if they were captured on someone’s disposable camera at their ski trip. This included the use of film grain, light leaks, dust and scratches, and a date in the corner. This paired nicely with the lifestyle aspect of the photoshoot - candid images to showcase people enjoying themselves with CÎROC.
The brand is moving away from the product-centric, crisp and overly polished photography we usually see in the alcohol industry, so my visual direction aligned perfectly with their vision.
